Sage Garden: a 20/10 šŸ˜«ā¤ļø

Another foodie reco! The Sage Garden in Alabang. For the aesthetics of the place, 10/10 bc the interior is really beautiful just like a garden—as its name suggests, it’s full of flowers, and I think they also host events on the upper floor. They also have an al fresco dining but I didn’t get the chance to take a photo of it. Okay so for the food naman, everything was so good! Personally, I’m not a fan of restos that serve Filipino dishes because I really prefer my mother’s cooking but this resto is an exception! We got The Sage Garden Sisig, Kare-Kare, Shrimp Sinigang, Grilled Salmon with Mango and Fruit Salsa, and Crab Fat Rice. Their sisig is not the typical ones you eat that mainly comprises only of onions and mayonnaise. You can taste the crisp and tenderness of the pork that just blends in with what a perfect sisig should be. It’s a must try, 15/10! The Kare-Kare had a really thick, savory peanut sauce, and the vegetables were fresh. It was a tad bit too peanut-y to my liking but it was still really good. For their Sinigang, I think it was around ₱400-500. The sourness was just right, not too sour not too bland. The shrimp was not overcooked, it was perfectly chewy and not brittle. Next for their Grilled Salmon—when it was served to our table we were confused at first bc it looked like a salad but as we tasted it, it was unexpectedly a good combination with the sweet fruit salad glazing the salmon. Lastly their Crab Fat Rice was really flavorful, it did not lack the crab taste, which lowkey did not go well with all the dishes we ordered bc all the flavors were crashing and we thought na maybe garlic rice or plain rice would go better with them. But that’s on us. But yeah, this was actually our second time eating here and tsaka ko lang siya naappreciare talaga. For their prices, as far as I can remember, it ranges around ₱300-500. I’ll definitely go back soon and try their other dishes! šŸ’Æ
