Living in Bolinao, Pangasinan, the iconic Cape Bolinao Lighthouse in Patar has always been close to my heart. As a child, I grew up seeing this historic landmark not just as a tourist spot, but as part of our everyday scenery. I remember visiting it during my younger years, running around with friends, and watching the waves crash against the rocks below. Beyond its beauty, the lighthouse carries a deeper purpose—it has long guided ships navigating the West Philippine Sea, ensuring their safe journey through the waters. Every time I see it, I’m reminded of how something built generations ago still stands tall, both as a symbol of guidance and as a keeper of our local heritage. Now that many tourists come to witness its charm, I feel proud to share that this place is not only a destination, but also a part of where I live and a big piece of my childhood memories. 🌊⚓🏝️
