Face Your Fears
Climbing Sambong Peak was not just an ordinary trek for me — it was a personal challenge. At 629 MASL, the trail may not be the highest, but for someone like me who has a fear of heights, every step upward felt like a battle. The hike started out exciting — the greenery, the fresh air, and the sound of nature kept me going. But the higher we climbed, the more I felt my knees shake. There were moments when I honestly thought of stopping and turning back. My fear of heights made me overthink each step — “What if I slip? What if I can’t go further?” But with encouragement and a little push, I kept going. Slowly but surely, one step at a time, I faced my fear. And when we finally reached the peak, all the struggle was worth it. The view was breathtaking — endless mountains, fresh cool breeze, and that overwhelming sense of accomplishment. Standing there at Sambong Peak, I realized that fear will always be there, but it shouldn’t stop us from experiencing life. Trekking taught me that courage doesn’t mean you’re not afraid — it means you keep moving forward despite the fear. This adventure was more than just a climb. It was a reminder that sometimes, the hardest battles are within ourselves… and the most beautiful rewards come after we conquer them. 🌄✨
