This manga is such a quiet comfort to me. It follows Ganta and Isaki, two high school students who both suffer from insomnia. They stumble upon each other one sleepless night in their school’s old observatory, both just looking for a place to rest their tired minds. That abandoned room soon becomes their shared sanctuary, a secret little pocket of peace in a world that doesn’t quite understand them. As someone who deals with insomnia too, their story hit really close to home. There’s something so real about the way their connection forms not through big, dramatic moments, but through quiet understanding. Just the two of them napping side by side, sharing late-night walks, and bonding over stargazing and photography. So cute! and it’s not just romance, it’s the kind of deep, gentle companionship that makes you feel safe. I love how they even create a club just to keep using the observatory! I also love how comfy they got with each other, enough to fall asleep. Watching them slowly open up, feel seen, and start healing because of each other is so wholesome.
