MANAM โ€” A Meal To Remember (and re-order ๐Ÿคญ)

My family finally tried MANAM for the first time โ€” and for the most part, this Filipino comfort cuisine did not disappoint! ๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿด โ€” Pork Tocilog (Small โ€“ โ‚ฑ305): Surprisingly generous serving! Juicy tocino, sweet caramelized onions, and the egg was perfectly cooked too. Sulit for its size! 7.5/10 โ€” Sinigang na Baboy sa Sampaloc (Kasim) (Small โ€“ โ‚ฑ255): Now this was comfort in a bowl. The sourness hit in all the right places, the pork was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and YES โ€” one-time free refill on the soup!! 8.5/10 โ€” Beef Belly Bulalo (Small โ€“ โ‚ฑ325): Umami overload in the best way. Flavorful broth, marrow that melts, and tender beef chunks that make you stare at your bowl in disbelief. Soup refill couldnโ€™t come fast enough ๐Ÿ’€ 9/10! โ€” House Tofu Sisig (Small โ€“ โ‚ฑ210): Sadly not for me ๐Ÿ˜… The calamansi really overpowered everything, so if you like your sisig super sour, this might be your thing! The tofu was nice and crispy though, and topped with both fresh + fried green chilis. 4/10 (I still prefer my own recipe! ๐Ÿคญ) โ€” Crispy Pork Kawali (Small โ€“ โ‚ฑ265): Okay listen. This?? One of the best pork kawali Iโ€™ve ever had (aside from my Momshโ€™s ofc). Fall-apart tender, juicy pork with skin thatโ€™s impossibly crispy! Solid 10/10. Get. This. โ€” Pancit Bihon (Medium โ€“ โ‚ฑ350): A safe classic. Not super bold in flavor, but the toppings were generous and the noodles were perfectly cooked. 6/10 โ€” Garlic Fried Rice (Large โ€“ โ‚ฑ285): No complaints. Flavorful, fluffy, and the garlicky goodness tied everything together. 10/10. Would eat a plate of this on its own ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ’ฌ How about you? I'd love to hear about your favorite dish! ๐Ÿ’“
