I’m Speechless (But Also Kinda Screaming) 😮‍💨

Okay, let me just say this real quick before I explode: What is going on with parenting these days??? Because I’m living with a 6-year-old who talks to adults like she’s been through two lifetimes and a breakup. I love my baby sister, I really do but OMG... she is sassy, unfiltered, and 100% terrifying when she’s in the mood. She's six. SIX. And the way she talks? She’ll walk into a room, side-eye everyone, and casually drop lines like “bruhh,” “o my gosh,” or “you’re so silly” like she’s in a TikTok compilation. And she talks back. To my DAD. Like full-on sass mode. And he just... lets her??? No scolding. No raised voice. I’m sorry, but if I even slightly looked annoyed at my dad growing up, I’d be dodging a leather belt like it was a Final Boss Battle. Now? It’s all “soft parenting” and “gentle conversations.” LIKE?? I get it, times have changed, but where are the boundaries? And no I’m not mad at her. She’s a product of what she’s being taught. I’m mad at the people raising her like she’s untouchable. Like consequences are optional. The future is wild, and honestly… I’m scared.
