The Ugly Stepsister (2025)

The Ugly Stepsister gutted me in a way I wasn’t ready for. It’s framed as a dark comedy, a twisted fairy tale but what it really is, at its core, is a quiet scream for every person who’s ever reshaped themselves for someone who never even turned their head. It's so painful to watch her mutilate herself piece by piece for a guy who isn't even all that💀 I didn't expect to walk away from this film feeling like i'd just watched the teenager version of me trying to fit in. But it did. This film doesn't let you forget it. It's so unique and disturbing. I love body-horror sm!
