Tiny Sparks on Heavy Days

Some days are just not the best. Nothing’s bad, exactly, but everything feels heavier than it should. My smile feels stuck somewhere behind my eyes. The air feels thick. I start wondering if maybe I’ve just lost something and didn’t notice when it slipped away. And then out of nowhere, there's a flicker. A soft song that I haven’t heard in ages but somehow still remember every word. A slant of sunlight that hits my wall just right and makes everything glow for five golden seconds. They’re small, these flickers. But they matter more than they should. I don’t think that they'll always last, but maybe that’s what makes them special. They show up anyway. Sneaky little reminders that even on gray days, something bright can still sneak in. And maybe hope is just that — catching the flicker and choosing to keep walking.
