Being strategic with people doesn’t mean being fake or manipulative, it means protecting your peace, managing your energy, and understanding that not everyone deserves full access to you. I used to give everyone the same version of me, open, trusting, oversharing. But not everyone has good intentions. Strategy became my safety net. Learning when to speak, when to pause, and when to walk away helped me keep my power. It’s not about being cold, it’s about being wise. You can be kind and still have boundaries. You can be honest and still protect your emotional space. Strategy isn’t being distant, it’s being discerning. So yes, be soft. Be sincere. But also be smart. People aren’t always what they seem,
