The Language of Love: What Speaks to Your Heart?
Love isn’t always about saying “I love you.” Sometimes it’s in doing the dishes, texting “Did you get home safe?”, or holding hands in silence. That’s the magic of love languages, they show us that love speaks in more ways than one. There are five main love languages: words of affirmation, quality time, acts of service, gifts, and physical touch. Knowing yours helps you receive love better, and knowing others’ helps you give love better, too. I used to expect people to love me my way, but understanding love languages taught me to see love even when it looked unfamiliar. That friend who always checks in? That’s their love language. That partner who fixes things without asking? That’s love, too. Learning how you love is a lifelong journey, but it’s so worth it. Because love, when spoken in the right language, it hits different.
