Cherishing This Short-Lived Era

The boy mom era is short. One day, the sticky kisses, dirty clothes, and noisy games will turn into quiet teenage independence. Sometimes I wish I could fast-forward past the exhaustion but I also know I’ll miss this someday. So, I’ve learned to document the moments the muddy shoes, the bedtime stories, the goofy laughter. This stage isn’t forever, and while it can be exhausting, it’s also filled with moments I’ll treasure for life. To all boy moms out there: this is your era. Embrace it. Laugh with them. Wrestle with them. Be their superhero and their safe place. Because before you know it, they’ll be too big to carry, but never too big to love.
