Lessons I’ve Learned from My Son

Raising a boy isn’t just about teaching him; it's about what he teaches me. My son taught me how to be patient when his emotions don’t come out in words, how to be brave when he climbs too high, and how to forgive easily, just like kids do. He reminded me how to appreciate the little things—like spotting a cool bug or finding joy in puddles. He also helped me redefine strength: not as stoicism, but as kindness, vulnerability, and honesty. Being a boy mom is like having a mirror reflect your best and worst parts—and learning to grow from them.
