I used to wait for an event just to feel cute. Not anymore. Now I dress up for myself kahit pa sa bahay lang or quick grocery run. A swipe of lipstick, a comfy but cute outfit, a little perfume bakit hindi? It’s not about impressing anyone. It’s about showing up for the girl in the mirror. The one who’s been through a lot and still finds joy in little things like a good outfit or glossy lips. Because feeling good in what I wear isn’t vanity it’s self-respect.
