🐢 Lazy But Dreaming: How I Fight the Urge to Do Nothing

Laziness isn’t always about being “bad” or “unmotivated.” Sometimes, it’s our body asking for a break. Sometimes it’s burnout in disguise. But other times… yeah, we’re just procrastinating again while scrolling TikTok in bed 😅📱 What’s worked for me? The 5-minute trick. I tell myself to just do 5 minutes, clean for 5, write for 5, stretch for 5. It almost always snowballs into a longer flow. Motivation often comes after starting not before. Also, romanticize your tasks. Put on music, light a candle, use your favorite pen. Make it feel soft and pretty. Don’t wait for motivation to arrive dressed as Beyoncé. Show up messy, in pajamas, but just start. 💪 Laziness fades when momentum begins. Be gentle but firm with yourself.
