Being a student-athlete has given me countless opportunities to grow not just in our sport, but in life. As someone who’s truly passionate about volleyball, I’ve gained so many experiences that helped shape who I am today. I’ve had the chance to play on different courts, compete with strong and skilled teams from various colleges, and continuously push myself to become better. But beyond the wins and the challenges, what truly stands out for me is the bond I’ve built with my teammates. It started as a simple teamwork turned into genuine friendships, and eventually, into a sisterhood. Volleyball is a team sport and communication and trust are everything. I feel incredibly lucky and grateful to have these people who support me, both on and off the court. Every step I take in improving my game, they are right there with me cheering me, guiding me, and growing with me and sometimes kasama ko sa kalokohan hehe And that, for me, is the most rewarding part of being a student-athlete because I gained. So, They’re not just my teammates they’re a special part of my journey, and I proudly call them my sisters from different mothers.
