Melt-Proof Makeup Tips for Hot Weather ☀️
Hey everyone! Is it just me, or is the weather absolutely scorching these days? I spend ages doing my makeup in the morning, but by lunchtime, my face is already shiny and my foundation feels like it’s melting off-especially under a mask. I know I’m not alone! 😅 So today, I wanted to share some of my tried-and-true tips for keeping makeup in place, even when it’s super hot and humid. 1. Keep Skincare Light In the summer, I always go for a lightweight gel moisturizer or a refreshing essence. Heavy creams just make my skin greasy faster. I also use a sunscreen that isn’t too oily. Let your skincare sink in before you start your makeup-it really helps everything last longer. 2. Don’t Skip Primer I used to skip primer, but in the summer, it’s a must for me. I focus on my T-zone and cheeks with a pore-filling or mattifying primer, and it honestly makes a big difference for shine and staying power. 3. Thin Layers for Foundation Instead of piling on foundation or cushion, I apply thin layers and build up only where I need more coverage. Thick foundation seems to break down faster in the heat. Sometimes I just use a tone-up sunscreen and a bit of powder for a super light base, and it feels way more comfortable. 4. Long-Lasting Color Products For eyes and lips, I always go for waterproof mascara and eyeliner-otherwise, hello panda eyes by afternoon! For lips, I like tints or matte lipsticks because they don’t smudge as much under a mask. 5. Set Everything in Place After makeup, I dust a little translucent powder just on my T-zone, then finish with a setting spray. It really helps lock everything in. I also always carry blotting papers in my bag. If I get oily, I blot before touching up with powder. It keeps things looking fresh instead of cakey.
